Top 5 Soul/R&B Artists to Look Out For (Signed)

Melanie Fiona – This Canadian Soul/R&B singer has the “IT” factor. A killer voice and sex appeal to go along with it. She already made a splash with her album “The Bridge” which featured singles “Give It to Me Right” and “It Kills Me”. Both showed off her powerful voice and control. With better writers and more promotion, Motown may have their newest superstar.

Leona Lewis – She’s already very successful and I predict that she will be even more successful. She already has the passionate fan base of a Diva in training, a powerful record label, and a voice that is out of this world! Her voice combines a honey sweet tone and the birdlike whistle of Mariah Carey and Minnie Riperton. She’s already a U.K sensation and she should be a U.S. force in no time. While Mariah Carey has already earned legendary status, I think other singers such as Beyonce and Christina Aguilera might want to watch their backs.

Jazmine Sullivan – This website has a history with Jazmine Sullivan. Jazmine being the first artist featured artist of the now defunct I will admit that her debut album didn’t make the huge splash that I thought it would have but it did introduce her. I will also admit that I wasn’t crazy about the material on “Fearless” but don’t count my girl out. Jazmine will “Bust Your Windows Out” because she’s not afraid of “Lions, Tigers, and Bears”. Jazmine can SANG and if she combines the material style of “Bust Your Windows” and the song “In Love With Another Man”, the next album will be great and you’ll be referring to her as “Miss Sullivan”.

Raheem DeVaughn – Raheem is always flying under both music listeners and industry radars. The 2008 single “Customer” brought more attention to him but he’s still relatively unknown by many. With the album “Love Behind The Melody”, he garnered critical acclaim. In 2010 Raheem DeVaughn will be releasing “The Love & Peace MasterPeace” a double disc album. You better watch out because the single “Bulletproof” featuring Ludacris is hot and I’m sure the rest of the album is even hotter. Don’t let this man fly under your radar!

Monica – She’s been on top before and then something happen. She changed and so did her audience, we all grew up but at some point we all grew up differently. The once Diva in training was now slightly ghetto with a noticeable country twang. It was awkward and so were her attempts of staying relevant. With the help of her reality TV show I think people got to know Monica again. Nobody can deny how sweet she comes across when dealing with her children. I think Monica is serious about her music this time and committed to giving her listeners more songs like “Why I Love You So Much” and “Angel of Mine”.
