I have always been a supporter of John Mayer's blues influence music but I cannot and will never support anyone that believes it is okay to use the N-Word. As a African-American I cringe when others use the word. It's a hate filled word.

John Mayer was talking to Playboy and they were talking about him being accepted by the black community. He said he has a "Hood Pass" but he also said he should be able to call it a "N-Word Pass":
MAYER:" Someone asked me the other day, 'What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?' And by the way, it's sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a n***** pass."

Mr. Mayer I don't remember being at the meeting that gave you the "Hood pass" (I'm thinking all black people would vote on this matter) but if you did have a "Hood Pass" you can be sure that it is now denied.

I'm not going to call John Mayer a racist because I don't believe he's a racist but he is ignorant and as I said before: He's an ASSHOLE! By the way I don't feel guilty for downloading your last album now.

  1. I am the type of person who can separate the musical genius from the asshole. John is lucky I can. But the N word is a pretty nasty word to forgive someone for. I am going easy on my John Mayer collection for awhile.
