Missed BET Honors? You Missed a Perfect Performance By Jennifer Hudson

If you dismissed BET Honors as another rachet show by BET, I hate to inform you that you missed a wonderful show. When I heard of the performers that would be on the show and the dignified guests that they would be honoring, I knew I had to watch. Whitney Houston alone makes me want to watch whatever she's on. While she wasn't singing the people that honored her with renditions of her songs were amazing.

Gospel Powerhouse Kim Burrell sang an amazing version of "I Believe in You and Me" and Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson tackled the Dolly Parton written, Whitney Houston power ballad, "I Will Always Love You". Jennifer Hudson sung it like she was the love child of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston herself. Aretha and Whitney are of course the Blue Print from which all modern diva's come from but Jennifer with this rendition is proof that the torch is rightfully being passed.
