I’m tired of the saying “New Year, New You” or “New Year,
New Me”. The only thing that will be new
is your age when your birthday rolls around.
Everything else will be the same. If you weren’t working on changing the
things you don’t like about yourself before January 1, 2014 more than likely nothing will be changing
about you. This is not to discourage people from trying to change but this is
just honesty. If you feel like you need to change things, go for it! Don’t
forget to change the way you think as well.
I’m tired of Alyssa Milano and her crusade on “fat-shaming”.
As a person that is considered by a medical standard as obese, I say screw you
Alyssa and your baby weight. As I’m sure you may have heard comedian Jay Mohr
made a fat joke about her. She’s stated
it hurt her feelings and now she’s on a personal crusade to stop “fat-shaming”.
He’s a comedian and you’re a celebrity known for being hot.
Seriously besides “Who’s The Boss” what do we really know Alyssa Milano for? We
know Alyssa for being hot and she was on many teenage boys’ walls and in their
wet dreams. I feel that this is not a crusade to really stop “fat-shaming” but
a crusade to make her name relevant again. Let’s be honest nobody was checking
for Alyssa Milano!
February 4th brings some new music releases that
I can’t wait to hear. The super R&B duo of Toni Braxton and Babyface will
release their album “Love, Marriage & Divorce”. American Idol season 2
winner Ruben Studdard will also release his album “Unconditional Love”, which
is produced by David Foster.
Aretha Franklin is currently working on new music. Of course
as a huge supporter of the Queen, you know I just can’t wait to hear the music.
It is executive produced by Clive Davis and she is working with Babyface and
Don Was. I know the album will be covers of other Diva’s songs. She recently stated that she was considering
recording Destiny's Child “Bootylicious”.
I really hope that doesn’t happen but I know that if anybody can make
that song their own, it would be Aretha.
She use to perform Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body” in concert and would
tear it up each time. This still untitled album should be released later this
year.
